Forest Dweller's Spears are Weapons made by Koroks to be used by Hylians.[1] They belong to the equipment archetype known as Korok Gear, which consists of many Weapons created by Koroks.[3] They are entirely made of wood, and they are both easy to use and strong.[1] They are commonly found in Treasure Chests in and around Hyrule Ridge and the Great Hyrule Forest.

Being made of wood, Forest Dweller's Spears will float when dropped in Water. While they will not conduct Electricity or attract Lightning during Thunderstorms, they will burn when exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate. The Magnesis Rune is incapable of picking up Forest Dweller's Spears.

Tears of the Kingdom[]

Forest Dweller's Spears return in Tears of the Kingdom. They are functionally identical to their Breath of the Wild counterparts. Using the Fuse ability with certain Materials on the Forest Dweller's Spear allows Link to reuse items that would normally expire after a limited number of uses, such as Elemental Fruits, Chuchu Jellies, Puffshrooms, or Muddle Buds.

Please note: Throwing your spear will break it and the material. This spear must be in hand for the reuse ability to work.

Elemental fruits have a 2 second cool down before reuse. This allows you to light on fire/splash with water/freeze/shock/flashbang an enemy every 2 seconds.

Chuchu Jellies are similar because they create the same elemental effects, but they are different because they explode. Chuchu Jellies splash the enemy with water, Yellow Chuchu Jellies shock the enemy, White Chuchu Jellies freeze the enemy, and Red Chuchu Jellies light the enemy on fire. Chuchu Jellies have a 2 second cool down between reuse.

Because Chuchu Jellies explode, they create elemental effects in a big radius which may damage Link. However, this damage can be ignored when using a level-3 resistance buff from eating food or wearing elemental armor. Level 3 shock resistance will ignore Yellow Chuchu Jelly explosion damage. The 2 star set bonus "fireproof" from the Flamebreaker armor will ignore Red Chuchu Jelly explosion damage. Likewise, the 2 star set bonus "unfreezable" from the Snowquill armor will ignore White Chuchu Jellies explosion damage. Regular Chuchu Jellies splash Link with water and do not damage him.

Puffshrooms have a 10 second cool down before reuse. The Puffshroom effect allows you to enter stealth mode and create sneak-strike opportunities. The Puffshroom cloud lasts for about 12 seconds, so constant stealth mode is achievable. Sneak-strikes deal double damage and can deal even more damage with an Eightfold Blade.

Muddle Buds have a 10 second cooldown before reuse. With the Muddle Bud effect lasting 25 seconds, you can have 2 enemies effected at once for 15 seconds. They will attack surrounding enemies, including each other. It's quite entertaining to watch 2 enemies fight each other.

Please note that Gibdo Bones and Ancient Blades are not reusable. Gibo Bones technically "break" instead of "burst." Bursting materials include materials that can be set on the floor and then hit with an object to "burst." Ancient Blades disappear after use, so they do no burst.

"Bursting materials attached to the spearhead can be reused again and again." - Weapon Description

That said, Bomb Flowers also cannot be reused. This isn't a big deal since they blow up Link if you use them on a spear. You'd be hurting yourself everytime you use it.
