Stage 1 is a treacherous landscape with pools of magma. Within it, a Bow, Gust Jar and Boomerang are provided to aid the Links in traversing the Stage. Wearing the Goron Garb will also help, as it makes it possible to swim through the magma. To complete the stage, the Links must first press three buttons at once, and then work together to activate three crystal switches that must be activated with their items. When all switches all lit, the path to the Triforce Gateway will be open.
In Stage 2, the Links are faced with a Hinox in a mine cart that throws Bombs onto the central platform that they stand on. In order to progress, the Links must either toss the Bombs back to the mine cart carrying the Hinox or utilize the nearby Bomb Flowers in lieu of nearby Bombs. The Bomb Flowers can be grabbed with the Boomerang. After the Hinox is defeated, the Links are beset by two more Hinoxes that both attack and must be defeated in the same manner. Once they have been defeated, a bridge to the Triforce Gateway will lower to the platform, allowing the Links to proceed.
Stage 3 features a pushable block that sits above a recurrent pillar of magma. This block must be pushed or pulled to the right side of the platform, onto a red panel that indicates where a pillar of magma would push through. By forming a Totem, the Links can stand on the block once it is moved to hit a Switch with either the Boomerang or Bow. This lowers a bridge to the next Triforce Gateway.
Stage 4 is where Moldorm is fought upon a platform above hazardous lava pillars.
"Evade the Wallmaster!" involves avoiding a Wallmaster while completing the dungeon normally. If the Wallmaster grabs one of the Links, he is instantly KO'ed.
In "Only Bombs-no swords!", the Links can only use Bombs in the Level and are unable to use their Sword.
"Clear within the time limit!"
