Fighters are recurring characters in The Legend of Zelda series, all originally from their own individual franchises. In Super Smash Bros., they are who the player controls and fights as. Many characters from The Legend of Zelda make appearances as playable characters in Super Smash Bros., such as Link and Zelda. Although no fighters not debuting in The Legend of Zelda have any roles story-wise, there have been some that were present in the games as Easter eggs.

Overview

Super Smash Bros.

In Super Smash Bros., also called Smash 64 or just 64 by Super Smash Bros. fans, the only character from 'The Legend of Zelda' who appears on the roster is Link. The character other than Link on the Smash 64 roster who made cameo appearances in Zelda games to be released on the same console is Mario. He was an Easter egg found in Ocarina of Time in a portrait alongside other stars from his franchise and Majora's Mask as one of the Happy Mask Salesman's masks on his pack.
