The Ventest Clothing Boutique is an Armor Shop in Breath of the Wild.[1]

Features and Overview[]

The Ventest Clothing Boutique is a shop in Hateno Village managed by Sophie, a girl who stands quietly in the corner of the store.[2] The Ventest Clothing Boutique notably sells two complete Sets of Armor: the Hylian Set and the Soldier's Set.

The Ventest Clothing Boutique was formerly operated by Sophie's father, Seldon, who now simply paces outside the shop offering tour guides to travelers.[3] As such, it is the final destination of "Seldon's Village Tours" and Link is welcomed to visit the store whenever he has the time to do so.[4] If it is raining outside, Seldon will run inside and sit at the work station located at the back of the store. The Ventest Clothing Boutique also features a side room with functions as a joint kitchen and bedroom.

Nomenclature[]

Like its neighboring shop, the East Wind, the Ventest Clothing Boutique is thematically named after wind. "Ventest" is a corruption of ventus, Latin for "wind."

Another likely origin, given the association of France with high fashion, is the French phrase "Vent d'Est", which translates literally to "East Wind".
