Fairy Ponds are recurring locations in the Legend of Zelda series. They are secluded pools of water that Link can visit to be healed by the resident Fairy.

Fairy Pond (The Legend of Zelda)

Artwork of Link being healed at a Fairy Pond in The Legend of Zelda

In the first quest there are two Fairy Ponds in the Overworld: one in the western forest, near the entrance to Level 3, and another in the eastern forest, near the entrance to Level 2. In the Second Quest there is another Fairy Pond where Level 5 was formerly located. They are easily identified, as they consist of a body of water with a Fairy hovering in midair. To activate the Pond, Link must approach it from the south and walk up to the edge and touch the body of water. He is then surrounded by a ring of hearts, which continue to circle him until his life meter is completely restored to full. There is no limit to how many times he may visit a Fairy Pond. Visiting a Fairy Pond also removes any jinxes placed on Link by Bubbles.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening

Fairy Ponds can be found within the Mysterious Woods, at the base of the Tal Tal Mountain Range in the east of Koholint Island, and en route to the Eagle's Tower.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons

Fairy Ponds look and act the same as their The Legend of Zelda counterparts. They are found scattered throughout Labrynna and Holodrum in Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons, respectively.
