Evermean are Enemies that appear in Tears of the Kingdom.

Characteristics[]

Evermean are found across many forests and plains in Hyrule, hiding amongst regular trees in order to catch Link by surprise. They are nearly indistinguishable from regular trees, save for a subtle wiggling motion they occasionally exhibit. When Link gets too close, they will spring out of the ground and attempt to smash him by slamming their trunks down at him. Evermean are immune to several forms of damage, including sources of Ice and Lightning magic. Due to their resemblance to trees, however, they are susceptible to sharp weapons such as Swords and axes. They are also weak to Fire.

Evermean can also be encountered in The Depths, where they mimic large fungi and ferns. They are often coated in Gloom.

Trivia[]

  • The name Evermean is a pun based on "evergreen", a type of plant that possesses foliage all year round.
  • Compared to normal trees, Evermean Logs will drop notably more wood when destroyed.
  • Evermean may have been inspired by the Walking Trees in Luigi's Mansion from Mario Kart DS.
