Energetic Rhino Beetles can be found on trees throughout the Akkala Highlands and West Necluda, particularly in the Rok Woods and on pillars in Kakariko Village. They're also sold by the traveling merchant Bugut, who travels between Dueling Peaks Stable and Kakariko Village. Combining them in a Cooking Pot with Monster Parts will result in an Energizing Elixir.[1] However, Beedle will also accept an Energizing Rhino Beetle in exchange for a random Food or Elixir.[3] The Kochi Dye Shop can use Energetic Rhino Beetles as ingredients for Yellow Dye.

Five Energetic Rhino Beetles, as well as two dragon scales, are needed to upgrade each piece of the Hero of the Wild Set to its third tier at a Great Fairy Fountain.
