EX The Yiga Clan's Retreat covers the events of the aftermath of Master Kohga and Sooga's fight with Astor after he betrayed the Yiga Clan. The Scenario starts with Master Kohga, Sooga, 2 Yiga Blademasters and a Yiga Captain having to make their way to a targeted position. Sooga is unable to fight during this part, having been injured prior to the Scenario. They first must fight 2 Fire Moblins, and later an Ice Chuchu, and a Thunder Wizzrobe. After these enemies are defeated and the two outposts are captured, 2 Electric Moblins will appear in the first outpost and start advancing on the group. During this, one of the Yiga Blademasters and the Yiga Captain will be attacked by Silver Moblins, forcing Master Kohga to hurry to their aid.
Once at the water, a Malice Moblin will appear, forcing the group to defeat it in order to keep going. However, once it is defeated, another Silver Moblin will appear. At this, the other Yiga Blademaster chooses to stay behind to hold it off, closing the gate behind him, and cutting the others off from him. At a short distance from the gate, Master Kohga can find one of Terrako's energy traces, which, once collected, gives him the ability to use the Sheikah Slate's runes.
After fighting through another outpost, 3 Hollows will appear, one of which appearing near the lone Blademaster. Master Kohga must now defeat all 3 Hollows, with him required to go back to the lone Blademaster to save him. If he does not do this in time, the Blademaster will be killed. After the first 3 Hollows are defeated, a fourth one will appear, accompanied by a Silver Moblin and a Fire Wizzrobe. Once all 3 are defeated, 2 more Silver Moblins will appear.
Further up the path, a Silver Lynel will block Master Kohga's path, forcing him to defeat it to catch up with the others. During this, a Blizzrobe will also appear and start attacking the other Yiga Solders.
After reaching a certain point, Windblight Ganon and Thunderblight Ganon will appear and cut off the group, forcing them to find another way out. From here, Master Kohga has the option of defeating the two, or ignoring them and proceeding to the new targeted position.
However, their second escape plan is foiled, as Fireblight Ganon and Waterblight Ganon appear to stop them. Master Kohga must now defeat the two Blight Ganons in order to escape. However, if he was able to keep the other Yiga solders alive, Sooga will begin to fight alongside him, exclaiming that Master Kohga cannot protect everyone on his own. Regardless if the rest of the group survived or not, the outcome of the fight will be the same.
Master Kohga and Sooga are able to drive off Fireblight Ganon and Waterblight Ganon, but Sooga's strength gives out, and he is unable to continue, forcing Master Kohga to carry him away. Later, Sooga pleads with Master Kohga to leave him behind, but Master Kohga refuses. This sparks a memory of Sooga's, recounting the time when he first met Master Kohga.
Unfortunately for the two, the Blight Ganons find them again and corner them. At this, Sooga suddenly gets up, tells Master Kohga that, no matter what happens here, he must live on, before performing a powerful Yiga technique to freeze the Blight Ganons long enough for Master Kohga to escape. He then gets up, draws his swords, then asks if he has paid Master Kohga back.
Strategy[]
It's never a good idea to leave your allies alone, as their low health makes survival for them quite slim. As soon as they start to get low on health, rush to their aid at once, lest you risk letting them flee. Take note that once the Hollows appear, you can go back to the closed gate to get it to open again, saving the Blademaster who chose to stay behind.
When it comes to the Blight Ganons, keep in mind that you MUST defeat all four of them in order to 100% this mission. They are all fairly strong, so make sure Master Kohga is at a very high level, same with his selected weapon.
If you were able to keep your allies safe, Sooga will join the battle, making the fight against the final 2 Blights a touch easier. His Unseeing Eye attack will allow him to instantly counter any attack with an attack of his own, so keep this in mind while fighting as him.
If you struggle, note that you can play as any other character after the mission is completed. Mipha is highly recommended, as her special attack will enable her to heal any allies around her. Make use of this if your allies are dangerously low on health.
