EX Road to Akkala Citadel is a level 50 Challenge in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. It can only be played by purchasing the first wave of the game’s Expansion Pass, Pulse of the Ancients.

Overview

EX Road to Akkala Citadel is a Challenge that can be completed using any Warrior. When completed for the first time, the Warrior receives a reward of 20 Razorclaw Crabs, twenty Wildberries, ten Voltfruits, and a random Weapon.

For the entire Challenge, the Warrior's objective is to escort a Hylian Captain and their allies to a Targeted Position located in the northeast corner of the map. At first, there is only a Hylian Captain being escorted, and only three Fire Moblin and a group of Black Bokoblins stand in the way. When they are defeated, the Hylian Captain will then advance further throughout the map, being blocked by only a small amount of Fire-Breath Lizalfos and Fire Chuchus. At around the center of the map, if the Warrior moves south, he or she will also find a Silver Moblin by itself. If the Warrior moves north from there, he or she will encounter a few Fire Keese. From the center of the map, the Hylian Captain moves east, blocked by a handful of Fire Keese. The Warrior and Hylian Captain will eventually reach a Goron Captain, who has been fighting Silver Bokoblins since the start of the Challenge. When the Warrior arrives, two Guardian Scouts I also spawn, and the Silver Moblin in the south will start moving toward the Warrior. After they are defeated and the captains move east, they will find a few Ice Chuchus, until eventually they reach a Zora Captain being attacked by a group of Ice-Breath Lizalfos and two Ice Wizzrobes. When the Zora Captain is reached, two Silver Moblins spawn in the northern part of the map and advance towards the captains. When the two Ice Wizzrobes are defeated, a Blizzrobe spawns that must be defeated for the captains to move forward. From there until the Targeted Position, only a small group of Ice Keese stand in the captains' way. When all three of the captains reach the Targeted Position, a large Ice Chuchu spawns. When that is defeated, a large Electric Chuchu spawns. When the Electric Chuchu is defeated, an Ice Moblin and a Fire Moblin spawn, surrounded by Silver Bokoblins. When one of the Moblins is defeated, an Ice Lynel spawns. Once all five of those Enemies are defeated, the Challenge ends.
