EX Link: Flails is a level 5 Challenge in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. It can only be played by purchasing the first wave of the game’s Expansion Pass, Pulse of the Ancients.

Overview

EX Link: Flails is a Challenge that can be completed using only Link, and with only a Flail as his Weapon. When completed for the first time, Link receives a reward of a Guardian Claw, ten Robbie's Maintenance Oils, five Robbie's Machine Lubricants, and five Robbie's Curing Agents.

For the entire Challenge, Link's objective is to defeat 400 Enemies within seven minutes. All of the Enemies are Soldiers, aside from a Hylian Captain. When that Hylian Captain is defeated and Link has at least 100 KOs, another group similar to the first one spawns in a different part of the map, although the Hylian Captain uses a two-handed Weapon. Once the second Hylian Captain is defeated and Link has at least 250 KOs, another group similar to the first two spawns again, although everyone in the group uses a Spear as his Weapon. Once 400 Enemies are defeated, the Challenge ends.
