Characteristics[]
A Link to the Past[]
In A Link to the Past, a bird resembling Duck, known as the Flute Boy's Bird, makes a vital appearance as a form of transportation. When Link plays the Flute near the Weathercock in the center of Kakariko Village, the bird will appear from inside the statue. Link can play the Flute again to have the bird fly him to one of eight different locations in the Light World.
Twilight Princess[]
Ducks are found in Ordon Village and in the Fishing Hole in Twilight Princess. They can either be found swimming in the pond or walking along the banks. As a wolf, Link can talk to them. One of the Ducks in the Fishing Hole tells him how to get the Sinking Lure.
Breath of the Wild[]
Bright-Chested Ducks appear in Breath of the Wild. These waterfowl can be found on the surface of ponds and rivers, often in flocks of three or more. If Link approaches them, they will fly away.
Other Appearances[]
Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland[]
In Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland, an enemy species of Duck called Kamonano Ducks appear. They are a large, monstrous variety of waterfowl found in the Steamy Marsh.
