Dondons are ancient creatures and the ancestors of horses. These friendly beasts have the ability to consume Luminous Stones. After some time, they produce a type of material, ranging from Flint or Amber, to more rare materials, like Rubies or Diamonds.

Trivia

• A similar creature was found in the 2019 teaser trailer for Tears of the Kingdom (at that time simply called the sequel to Breath of the Wild), where it acted as a steed for Zelda and Link as they journeyed the caves before finding Ganondorf's mummified corpse.
