"Diving is Beauty!" is a Side Quest in Breath of the Wild.[1]
Overview[]
Once Link arrives in Zora's Domain, he can find Gruve at the top of one of the waterfalls outside the Throne Room. When spoken to, he recounts his story of being stuck at the top of Lanayru Tower.[2] Eventually, he was able to muster the courage to dive into the Zora River,[3] where he saw his reflection and was deeply moved.[4] When Link inquires further, Gruve shares his belief that people's true colors show when they are diving.[5]
If Link is in possession of the Zora Armor, Gruve notices and calls it impressive.[6] With it equipped, Link is capable of swimming up Waterfalls.[7] He asks Link to dive into the waters below so he can see his true colors.[8] This begins the Side Quest.
When Link dives into the water, Gruve will share his praises with him.[9] He then instructs Link to climb back up the Waterfall and speak to him.[10] At the top of the Waterfall, Gruve says that his soul feels as though it is on fire.[11] He tells Link that he has shown him something special and asks that he land.[12]
Gruve comments on how amazing Link's performance was,[13] saying he feels lucky to have witnessed it and is now crying tears of joy.[14] He decides he must thank Link and gives him five Fleet-Lotus Seeds.[15]
Afterwards, Gruve feels emotionally ravaged, as he does not see such diving every day.[16] He tells Link that he will be looking forward to his next dive.[17] This completes the Side Quest.
