Defend the Sands! is a level 34 Challenge in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.

Overview

Defend the Sands! is a Challenge that can be completed using any Warrior except Sooga. When completed for the first time, the Warrior receives a reward of an Ethereal Stone, three Ambers, and 400 Rupees.

At the beginning of the Challenge, the Warrior's objective is to defeat Sooga while protecting an Allied Stronghold. A few Yiga Footsoldiers are scattered around the map, but more spawn as the Warrior moves throughout the map. There is a pair of one Yiga Blademaster and Fire Wizzrobe to the right and left of the Allied Stronghold's entrance, with the Yiga Blademasters assaulting the Stronghold almost immediately. The Fire Wizzrobes stay in the same spot, surrounded by a small group of Blue Bokoblins. When the Warrior approaches Sooga, Yiga Footsoldiers spawn around the map in addition to the large group around him, and two more Yiga Blademasters spawn on the sides of the Allied Stronghold. All of these Enemies advance toward the Allied Stronghold unless interrupted by the Warrior, and can spawn again in the same way if the Warrior leaves Sooga and confronts him again. The Challenge ends when Sooga is defeated.
