The Dah Kaso Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name A Minor Test of Strength,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

Entrance to the Shrine

Dah Kaso Shrine is located in Hyrule Field underneath the Digdogg Suspension Bridge. As Link enters the Ancient Shrine, he is greeted by the Shrine's Monk, Dah Kaso.[2]

Themes and Navigation

Dah Kaso Shrine features a large, central chamber which acts as an arena. As Link approaches the center of the arena, a Guardian Scout II wielding an Guardian Spear will rise from a pit to challenge Link. In order to reach Dah Kaso, Link must defeat the Guardian Scout II to cause a portcullis separating him from the Monk to rise. Once Link has done so, Dah Kaso will give him a Spirit Orb for completing the Trial,[3] and afterwards will wish Link well before fading away.[4]

A Treasure Chest behind the portcullis contains an Ancient Core.
