Cooking with Koko is a Side Quest in Breath of the Wild.[1]
Overview[]
After helping Koko with her Cooking by completing the "Koko's Kitchen" Side Quest, she will have another dilemma the next time Link talks to her at the Cooking Pot. She has decided to make Hot Buttered Apples like her mother used to,[2] but finds that she is completely out of Goat Butter.[3] She calls herself a bad daughter and believes she will never be like her mother.[4]
If Link should comfort her rather than helping, Koko will shrug off his words.[5] Link can also offer her Goat Butter, but she can tell he is lying, as her father Dorian is also bad at it.[6] Once she is done speaking to Link, the Side Quest will begin.
Goat Butter is sold at High Spirits Produce nearby, though it is not necessary to buy it from there. Once Link returns to Koko, he finds her lamenting the fact that she forgot the Goat Butter and calling herself a bad daughter.[7] When Link offers her Butter, she will be surprised that he went so far for her and asks him to stay put while she cooks the meal.[8]
Koko is very pleased with her Hot Buttered Apples and offers one to Link as a reward.[9] She states that she is determined to improve her cooking, ending the Side Quest.[10]
