Zelda Wiki is now recruiting! Are you passionate about The Legend of Zelda and want to share your knowledge of the series? Then consider helping out the internet's largest resource for information about all things Zelda. Anyone can edit, but we need experts to ensure that our articles are correct and meet certain quality standards.

We are currently looking to expand our base of skilled editors and are especially looking for people with multiple talents, the primary skill being content writing. But content writing isn't all we're looking for! There are tons of projects that we're working on which involve diverse skills, such as: image editing, datamining and even 3D model editing and viewing. Don't be afraid to shoot us a submission if you have something to offer.

For any role on Zelda Wiki you'll need to be able to work as part of a team, be available regularly and use various applications to correspond and collaborate with us. Please note that Zelda Wiki is run entirely by volunteers, so we can't pay you for your work. For a full list of things to consider before applying, see here.

Application Rundown
Name It helps us as a team to be able to call each other by actual names rather than screen names. It's OK if you don't want to be addressed as anything other than your screen name. Age While not everything, age is something that we consider when reviewing applications. A certain level of maturity is necessary. Country It is helpful to know where in the world our staff are from to help coordinate our activities. Do you have an account associated with Zelda Wiki and/or the Zelda Universe forums? Please list. Having an account with a history of editing helps us review how dedicated you are to working with us. Accounts on both sites are mandatory upon becoming staff. Do you speak more than one language? If so, how well? Being able to understand the languages that the Zelda games come out in is helpful in our ability to cover as much information as possible, including translations! French, Spanish, German, Italian, Japanese and Korean are the most common languages. Do you have a history of writing? If so, please provide an example of your work. Proficiency in writing is a key component of content coverage. How much time will you be able to deliver per week to the Wiki? An accurate estimate of time helps us understand how reliable you can be to collaborate with. Do you have any experience in or significant knowledge pertaining to the following topics: MediaWiki software? Zelda Wiki is primarily written in MediaWiki coding. While not necessary, having a healthy knowledge of how to use it is welcome. We have a Help Guide to help get you started. Image editing programs? If writing isn't your forte, we also need help in rendering images and making them transparent. Glitches, sequence breaking or similar behavior in games? We are also looking for people capable of reviewing, testing and writing about notable glitches. Ripping game files (AKA datamining)? Being able to directly retrieve files from games is important for our coverage. 3D model rigging? Being able to display 3D models helps our article coverage. Things to Consider

Before submitting an application, please be aware of the following:
Incoming staff are placed as Trainees. Trainees are marked with Pieces of Heart in the Recent Changes to signify that you're still learning the ropes. The trainee period involves a lot of correspondence with trainers until both sides feel that they are sufficiently skilled in the work that they aim to do.

We use Slack, a professional chat application, to conduct meetings and collaborate internally. Staff are expected to attend our weekly meetings, which are presently held on Saturday mornings. We share this space with the staff of Zelda Universe, and Wiki staff are required to be respectful of their channels and their work as they are to us. There are also additional services that staff may be expected to use which may require registration and may be shared with the Zelda Universe crew.

The review process takes heavy deliberation. Don't worry if you don't get an immediate response, we will be sure to get to you. Please only send in one application, as sending duplicates slows down the process. If you aren't selected, don't be discouraged! We can only select a limited amount of people to bring aboard at one time, but there is always work to be done!
