Template:Enemy Template:Sources The Miniblin is the smallest and weakest member of Ganon's (and later Bellum's) evil army. They can be dispatched in one hit, and pose no real threat in terms of attack damage. However, they tend to appear in large groups, and their superior numbers can sometimes get the better of Link.[1] They use small pitchforks as weapons, and can be very dangerous to have around if Link has climbed his way to a high altitude. If Link finds himself facing a Miniblin swarm without his sword, he can drop All-Purpose Bait to distract them and make his escape. Miniblin make a characteristic "Nyeh Na..." and "Deh Dank!" sound, and made their debut in The Wind Waker. The Skull Hammer can be used to evoke humorous cries from them; smashing the ground will send nearby Miniblins sky high, and swinging it sideways will send them flying into nearby walls.

Miniblinattack

Link is beset by a mob of Miniblins in the Forsaken Fortress.

Miniblins also appear in Phantom Hourglass. In this game, they are less colorful, and their trademark call is replaced by a vaguely monkey-like screech. They also show slightly greater intelligence, as evidenced by their use of rudimentary strategy in battle; instead of charging head-on, a lone Miniblin will draw back and wait for its comrades to surround Link before attacking. A seaborne variant also exists, which has fins instead of ears and large, bright green goggles. These Miniblins are pirates, who sail about in heavily-armed ships and board any boat they come across (including Link's) to menace their inhabitants.
