Masked Mechanical Monster: Goht (ゴート, Gouto) is the second boss in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, located in the Snowhead Temple. He is a giant mechanical bull who is, at the beginning of the boss battle, frozen in a giant block of ice. It is his influence and curse that is causing the abnormally cold winter at Snowhead, and this in turn threatens the lives of the native Gorons living there. Goht must be defeated in order for Spring to come and life to be restored at Snowhead.

You will face him in a ring shaped stage. To fight him, you must use your Fire Arrows and shoot one at him. He will thaw, come to life, explode out of his restraints, and start charging around the stadium-like room in an attempt to trample you. Put on your Goron Mask and start to roll around the stadium and hit Goht when your spikes appear after a time. Conveniently enough, there are Magic Jars around the room so if you need more magic, simply roll through a jar to get the magic and continue rolling. You may also knock Goht down if you jump on him after going through one ramp. He will eventually regain his composure and get up, and when he does, start rolling again. When rolling around as Goron Link be careful as Goht will begin to throw rocks at you. Every time you hit him, he will shoot a somewhat difficult to dodge ball of electricity, that homes in on you. After some hits stalactites will fall from the roof, and finally when he is about to die, Goht will throw some bombs at you. Watch out especially for a lightning blast that he will throw at you if you get too far from him; you should try to avoid it at all costs. You will know he is being damaged if you see black smoke begin to pour out of him while he is running. When he is defeated, you will see Goht crash headlong into a wall, causing a huge amount of rocks to fall on top of him, allowing you to claim your Heart Container and what is left of Goht, Goht's Remains.

Trivia
Though challenging, you can also defeat Goht with arrows. You must run foward after the battle starts to a specific spot where he stands and fires lightning at you idly. This isn't often used, though, since he will most likely hit you with lightning. It is also possible to fire arrows at him as he charges by the entrance to the arena, but this requires good reflexes and is quite tedious.

Revision as of 10:12, 8 December 2016

Not to be confused with Wosu, a wolf-like enemy in The Adventure of Link.

Template:Enemy Tinsuits are armored foes that appear as common enemies for Link in Zelda animated series. They are visually similar to Armos from the original The Legend of Zelda game apart from size and those that appear in the animated series, but they do not stand as statues, and instead play a similar role to Darknuts.

In "The White Knight", while Link and Princess Zelda are in an unnamed village, Tinsuits rise from the Underworld and begin to attack the young hero and the princess.[1] Link easily zaps several Tinsuits, with one of them dropping a crossbow and Rupees. With Link distracted by the loot, a Tinsuit throws its spear at Link and knocks off his sword, then grabs him from behind as more Tinsuits start to come off the ground. Link kicks the crossbow to Zelda, who zaps away the Tinsuit that was holding Link and gives him a chance to escape. However, a Tinsuit that was on the ground trips Link and grabs him by the ankle, and shortly after, the Tinsuit blows a horn to summon an Octorok. With Zelda's crossbow now out of ammo, the Octorok throws Link off to a nearby barn, but the young hero gets back up now holding a piece of wood. The Octorok then fires a beam of light that the young hero bats back so that it finally defeats the last Tinsuit.

In "The Moblins are Revolting", Tinsuits are part of the Brotherhood of Underworld Monsters and are one of the many foes who try to get revenge on Link and Zelda. A particular scene shows several Tinsuits that begin to climb a ladder to get inside North Castle, but the ladder eventually breaks due to their weight.

Trivia

 • As the only named enemies that appear in the animated series that do not appear in the games, the name Tinsuit has been misappropriated to Wosu from The Adventure of Link. However, Tinsuits instead seem to be based on the original design of Armos.
