Prior to the events in The Minish Cap, Ezlo, a Minish, had created a hat that was able to make the wishes of its wearer come true.<ref name=Quote2>{{Cite|Hmm-hmm! Ezlo told Zelda to combine her power (the part of the Light Force Vaati did not obtain) with the Minish Cap in order to undo all the damage done by Vaati.<ref>{{Cite|If one with a just heart wears this cap, things can be made right again. ===Majora's Mask===
Interestingly, when Vaati wears the hat, it turns a dark, near black purple, yet when Zelda wears it, it retains its shape. This may be because Zelda has a pure heart, while Vaati's heart is tainted by evil and greed.

In the Majora's Mask manga, it is suggested that Toto may be his Terminan counterpart.

It has been noted by several fans that the title of "Minish Cap" can also apply to Ezlo in his cap form. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the game's logo, which features Ezlo in his cap form in the title of "Minish Cap". Ezlo was the creator of the so-called Minish Cap itself, and the form he was transformed into through its power made him assume a similar shape, but he retained the power to shrink his wearer to Minish size. In the Zelda community however, the title is often assigned to both the cap recovered from Vaati at the end of the story as well as Ezlo in the form he appears in throughout the majority of the game. The cap is never really given an official name throughout the game, although Ezlo at one point calls it the "mage's cap" though this more likely refers to Vaati himself and not an actual title for the cap.

King Zora also appears in Oracle of Ages in death at the "present time", due to an overwhelming amount of sea pollution. To save him, Link must travel to the past and give him a life potion. After this, he will grant Link permission to enter Jabu-Jabu if the young hero cleanses the seas, handing over the Library Key as well.

Template:Character King Zora is the leader of the Zora race, father of Princess Ruto, Prince Ralis, and husband of Queen Rutela.

Appearances

Ocarina of Time

In Ocarina of Time, he sits on his throne at the helm of Zora's Domain, guarding passage to the great Lord Jabu-Jabu, the patron deity of the Zoras. Only when Child Link presents him with a letter from his incarcerated daughter, held from within Lord Jabu Jabu, does he grant Link passage to Lord Jabu Jabu's lair.[1] When Adult Link ventures to Zora's Domain, he finds King Zora and the rest of the region frozen solid: a curse placed on the region that stems from Morpha's control of the the Water Temple, the source of their water. Freeing King Zora from the ice after completing the Ice Cavern will grant Link a Zora Tunic as a gift.[2] If Link already has a Zora tunic, he will offer him a kiss.[3]

Incidentally, it appears that, according to in-game dialog, King Zora and Biggoron are good friends and have known each other for a long time.[4] During the ending sequence of Ocarina of Time, King Zora is shown to be one of the few characters not celebrating the victory over Ganon, instead sitting next to a grieving Mido.

Majora's Mask

In the Majora's Mask manga, it is suggested that Toto may be his Terminan counterpart.

Oracle of Ages

King Zora also appears in Oracle of Ages in death at the "present time", due to an overwhelming amount of sea pollution. To save him, Link must travel to the past and give him a life potion. After this, he will grant Link permission to enter Jabu-Jabu if the young hero cleanses the seas, handing over the Library Key as well.

Twilight Princess

The King Zora in Twilight Princess is long dead. He was Queen Rutela's husband and the creator of the Zora Armor. It is implied by Eiji Aonuma that this is the same King Zora as in Ocarina of Time.[5]
