Ancient Battle Axes+ are Weapons wielded by Guardian Scouts III in "A Modest Test of Strength" Ancient Shrines. When the Breath of the Wild Series Guardian amiibo is scanned with the amiibo Rune, a Treasure Chest containing an Ancient Battle Axe+ has a chance to spawn. They are improved versions of Ancient Battle Axe that deal more damage.[1] Due to their sharpness, it is theorized they may have been used to forge paths.[1]

The sixth weapon Nebb will ask Link to show him during "The Weapon Connoisseur" Side Quest is the Ancient Battle Axe+, which he claims are not common around Hateno Village.[3] If Link brings him one, Nebb will be excited and give him a Silver Rupee as a sign of his gratitude.[4][5]

Since they are made using Ancient Technology, Ancient Battle Axes+ will deal more damage when they are used to fight Guardians. They will not burn when exposed to a Fire or a Scorching Climate, nor will they be able to be picked up with the Magnesis Rune. They do not attract Lightning during Thunderstorms or conduct Electricity, but they will float if dropped in Water.

Ancient Battle Axes+ are part of the Guardian Gear equipment archetype, which is a collection of Weapons that are wielded by Guardian Scouts.[6]
