Overview[]
Presumably hours after the initial attempt at invading Hyrule, Ganondorf, alongside four delegates of the Gerudo, are at the throne room and bowing to King Rauru. Ganondorf then offers his "deepest" apologies on behalf of the Gerudo for repeatedly delaying answering invitations to join Hyrule, with his then stating the Gerudo's wishes to be welcomed into Hyrule and serve it faithfully. Secretly, however, Ganondorf eyes Rauru, Zelda, and Sonia's secret stones to decide who to target, eventually settling on Sonia. Rauru then accepts Ganondorf's appeal, and also references the trait of a single male being born into the Gerudo every century, complimenting Ganondorf for his request to join not just as a king by birthright, but also as a hero to his people. Ganondorf then expressed honor at this, and also referenced the Zonai's arrival, and also "complimented" Rauru for taking a Hyrulean woman to be his wife while adding that he rose above his station. He also expressed some pity at how the Zonai have largely gone extinct, pointedly stating that Rauru and his sister Mineru are the only ones left before flashing a smile that hinted at his having ill intentions towards them. Rauru then tells Ganondorf that Hyrule and the peace it brings will live on for generations to come regardless of what happens to him before dismissing him and expressing interest in future endeavors. After Ganondorf and the Gerudo departed, Zelda expresses her misgivings towards Ganondorf, sensing many dark ambitions within his heart, and also implies that his name alone gave her pause due to it reminding her of Calamity Ganon. Rauru then assured her that he's in fact fully aware that Ganondorf's in fact evil, and he actually accepted the fealty request specifically to keep an eye on him, and assures her there is nothing to worry about. Zelda agrees, though she's still uncertain about whether it will work.
