"A Gift from the Monks" is a Side Quest in Breath of the Wild.[1]
Overview[]
After Link completes the last of the 120 Ancient Shrines, the final Monk will tell him that they have prepared something for a true hero.[2][note 1] Link is instructed to go to the Forgotten Temple,[3] which activates the Side Quest. Like all other Monks, this Monk will wish Link well before fading away.[4]
As Link has already finished all 120 Ancient Shrines, he will be able to Warp directly to Rona Kachta Shrine inside the Forgotten Temple. Three Treasure Chests will appear below the Goddess Statue inside, which contain the Cap of the Wild, the Tunic of the Wild, and the Trousers of the Wild. Once Link has collected all three pieces of Armor, the Side Quest will be completed.
