Great fairy fountains are found on many Zelda games, These are fountains that resemble a regular fairy fountain but they were home to the great fairies, this fairies are kind and often reward you with important items that are often needed to finish the game. The great fairy fountains are often hidden on places that you need a special ability or item to reach, like behind a giant rock or with a wall that you need to bomb at the entrance, there are some places where this fountain are like: holes, caves and on [[The Wind Waker]] living inside houses shaped like seashells. The great fairies play a bigger role on [[Majora's Mask]] where you had to find all the great fairy's pieces and bring them together at the great fairy's fountain, every great fairy has it's own distinctive color.
