There's a lotta similarities between Link (Tears of the Kingdom) and Ashitaka (Princess Mononoke). Both main protags in their stories with the female leads named Zelda (Tears of the Kingdom) and San (Princess Mononoke) as the titular deuteragonists.

Ideas:

1) Both right-handed main protags (though Link used some left-handed movements for the Sheikah Slate for cross-dominance to add more variety while bein' right-handed).

2) Both heroes as the main focus in the fight against demonic hatred.

3) Both cursed in the right arm by demonic malice, then healed at the end (with Link's right arm restored and healed by a miracle).

4) Both main protags in the lead role with their female co-stars as the deuteragonists.

5) Both young guys who care so much about their female co-stars that they wanna be there to help relieve the sorrow, the grief, and the pain by makin' them feel safe AND reassured. Even the romance in both stories could be the same.

6) Both main protags who live with scars they receive, suffer with agony they selflessly endure, AND learn from it.

7) Both heroic protags who did what they did to help others.

8) Both with blue tunics (even though Link has more variety with his outfits like the Hero of the Wild set).

9) Both succeed in savin' the day at the end.

10) Both men who lead by example with clarity.

11) Both survive to the end, along with their female co-stars.

12) Both compassionate guys who help others out (both by their own choice).
