Look at the Game Boy line. You can use an origional GB cart on any of them, but you cant use, for say, a GBA cart on the origional GB.

Hmm. Will there be a part of the S2 games code that says, ‘btw, only work on S2’?

Also I think that it worked something like that for the DSes.
