Hi, I just want to remind all of you about the Discussion Rules. These can easily be accessed by scrolling up and clicking the ‘Guidelines’ button. However, people tend to not read these, so I’m posting them here where people tend to look.
Be nice and treat people with respect. Keep discussions civil and be open-minded about differing opinions. Do not harass others or threaten them. For example, user A shouldn't put user B down for saying "colour" instead of "color" due to user A being from the United States and user B being from England. Understand that other people are complex human beings with their own feelings and opinions.
Threads and posts that solicit upvotes will be deleted.
Off-topic conversations will be deleted and the poster will be warned.
Impersonation of other users will lead to your account being banned.
Spamming, trolling, or vandalizing of any kind will be deleted and will lead to your account being banned.
No heavy swearing. Acceptable words are: "ass", "damn" (and by extension "dammit"),"crap", and "hell". Ask Gematarix if you are unsure. Censoring swears is allowed though, such as "f***", "s***", and "b****". Any racial slurs, regardless of censorship, are not tolerated whatsoever and are against Fandom Terms of Use
Sockpuppeting, or the use of an alternate account to evade bans, give the main account a fake follower, or cause disruption, is not tolerated and any sockpuppet will be banned. If the main user was using it to sneak around a ban, their ban length will be extended.
No minimodding. A minimod is a user who is not part of the staff team acting like they have the power to punish other users. Examples of minimodding include sending users warnings or threatening to ban others. However, reminding someone that they're breaking the rules respectfully is NOT minimodding due to the poster not threatening to punish the rulebreaker. If you want to play it extra safe, click the three dots at the top right of the post and click "Report" if it breaks any of the rules.
Use common sense. If something seems like it should be against the rules or violates Fandom's Terms of Use should either be reported using the method above or by @-tagging a moderator.
No sexually suggestive posts are permitted and will be deleted
We’re fair in enforcing these rules and will usually issue warnings before resorting to a block. However, if you commit a severe act, such as racist comments, overly sexually suggestive posts, or ban evading, we can issue a block without a warning. It is up to the staff’s discretion as to whether or not it is severe enough to warrant an immediate block. Staff members include me (Commander Linus), Twineee, Sasquatch Who Happens To Be Sneaky, Gematarix, and Triforce Tyler (inactive). Twinee and Gematarix are administrators, and the rest of us are moderators. Please don’t try to find and abuse loopholes in the rules and use common sense. Just because the rules don’t SAY that it isn’t allowed doesn’t exactly mean it is. When in doubt, ask a staff member. Please don’t report posts that aren’t breaking any rules, as it wastes our time.
