The Two Rings
BotW The Two Rings
Quest Giver Kass
Location West Hyrule Plains
Reward Sheem Dagoze Shrine

"The Two Rings" is a Shrine Quest in Breath of the Wild.[1]

Overview[]

At the end of Jeddo Bridge, Link can find Kass singing among the Stone Rings on the West Hyrule Plains. Kass is shocked when Link speaks to him, as he was lost in the song written by his teacher, the Court Poet, and did not hear him approach.[2] Though the Court Poet passed away several years ago, the song Kass was playing was the last one he taught him.[3] Realizing he has gotten carried away, Kass apologizes and blames nostalgia.[4]

Kass reveals that he knows an "Ancient Song" about the area and asks Link if he would like to hear it.[5] When Link agrees to listen, Kass will follow through with his offer.[6] The lyrics describe an Arrow threading two rings, which will cause an Ancient Shrine to appear.[7] After singing, Kass wonders if the rings mentioned in the song refer to the Stone Rings.[8] While he can see that there is a mystery in the area, he has a feeling that the answer is beyond him.[9] He wishes Link well,[10] and the Shrine Quest will begin.[note 1]

There are 12 Stone Rings scattered across the area, extending as far as the Jeddo Bridge. Some of them are on the ground while others are upon raised elevations. Most of the rock formations are in close proximity to one another, though only a few are in clear alignment. While using a Bow with long range, it is possible to sit within the ring of a ring-shaped rock and shoot through the ring of another rock. Upon successfully shooting an Arrow through two Stone Rings, Sheem Dagoze Shrine will raise from the ground nearby.[11] With this, the Shrine Quest will be completed.

Trivia[]

  • Upon completing this Shrine Quest, Link can speak to Kass once more. He will compliment him for his ability to solve the riddle before wishing him luck on his journey.[12]
  • Kass's Journal, which is found in a hut on Washa's Bluff, hints at the location of this Shrine Quest.[13] Kass recounts that there are many rocks with holes in them near Jeddo Bridge.[14] The rocks are mentioned in an ancient song, which he hopes to learn more about.[15]
