The Eye of the Sandstorm
BotW The Eye of the Sandstorm
Quest Giver Nobiro
Location Kara Kara Bazaar
Reward Dako Tah Shrine

"The Eye of the Sandstorm" is a Shrine Quest in Breath of the Wild.[1]

Overview[]

In Kara Kara Bazaar, a Hylian named Nobiro can be found standing on a small outpost, watching the Sandstorm over the Great Cliffs. He claims that the Sandstorm stops for a few hours a day, but in the time he has been watching, he has not seen this happen.[2] There is a rumor of an ancient treasure hidden inside the Sandstorm.[3] As he has been waiting for days, he has begun to suspect he was given a bad lead.[4] Suddenly, Nobiro looks down at Link and asks who he is again.[5] After this, the Shrine Quest will begin.

If Link talks to the Goron Strade at Kara Kara Bazaar before freeing the Divine Beast Vah Naboris, he will find out that the Sandstorm clears up during the night.[6][7][8] Link can search the Great Cliffs while the Sandstorm is gone during the night between 9:00 PM and 4:00 AM. The Sandstorm begins to return at 3:00 AM, but is not fully blown until 4:00 AM. Eventually, he will come upon Dako Tah Shrine.[9] By activating the Ancient Shrine, Link will complete the Shrine Quest.
